Parent coaching has recently exploded in popularity thanks to the emergence of shows like Nanny 911 and Supernanny. These programs allow viewers to witness the daily battles that occur between frustrated parents and their unruly children. Each episode is indeed entertaining, but also offers a great deal of insight for parents who are dealing with similar issues in their own homes.
Hiring a qualified parent coach is actually quite simple. You may not get Supernanny or one of the delightful ladies from Nanny 911, but the insight and advice you receive from your parent coach is sure to be of a similar quality.

What is a Parent Coach?
A Parent Coach is basically an individual that is trained to help parents address problems related to child-rearing and discipline. Parent coaches typically work in the home of the family that is having the problems but many of them also work over the phone or from an office. Parent coaches teach discipline techniques, behavior management, time management, and communication skills in an effort to improve the relationship between parents and their children.
